Victory for one of Aidan O'Brien's four runners in this event, which was first run in 1857, would give the Ballydoyle trainer his 16th win in the race and a sixth consecutive success.
O'Brien first won the race with Johan Cruyff 20 years ago and his haul of winners include four horses – Saratoga Springs, Septimus, Eagle Mountain and St Nicholas Abbey – who went on to achieve Group 1 success.
