Can team Gosden win this Listed contest for the third year in a row?

John Gosden has trained the winner of this Listed race for the past two years and he holds two strong chances to complete the hat-trick with more three-year-olds, Kestenna and Sweet Enough.

Kestenna has been running in warmer races than this recently and returns to the all-weather for the first time since April. The combination of impressive form on the surface – 2112 – as well as the eyecatching booking of Ryan Moore suggest a bold showing is expected.

Moore has ridden just three times for Gosden and his son Thady this year, striking at the Ebor meeting aboard Coolmore’s Rifleman so this combination is difficult to ignore.

Sweet Enough was denied a four-timer on her first venture into Group company last time in the Sceptre Fillies' Stakes at Doncaster and could threaten down in grade.

A slight concern would be Sweet Enough’s only appearance on the surface came at the track back in June where she could only manage fifth in a novice.

Hughie Morrison’s Mrs Fitzherbert has no question marks about handling the surface having won two of her three starts on the all-weather, including over course and distance two starts back. This is a big step up in class for the daughter of Kingman but she looks the likeliest challenger to the Gosden pair.

Morrison also runs Rosemary And Thyme, whose only career win in 13 starts came at the track and she could bounce back to form reunited with Hollie Doyle, who did the steering for that success in April.

She looks nice and has worked well since her last run, she's ready to go again. She's in good condition and I'm looking forward to seeing her run well.

Simon Crisford, joint-trainer of Maamora
She's in good shape. I would have preferred a slightly better draw but she's in good form. We're very happy with her.

Hughie Morrison, trainer of Mrs Fitzherbert and Rosemary And Thyme
Mrs Fitzherbert is very progressive and showed a nice turn of foot for her last two wins, which is always great to have with a filly. Rosemary And Thyme ran a great race last time, but was a bit unlucky. I'd love for her to finish in the first three because she deserves it with the way she's been running.

Tom Ward, trainer of Roman Mist
Roman Mist is in great nick. She has been running consistently all year and appears to be improving still. She ran a good race in France last time. They went steady and I thought she was a touch unlucky as she got caught flat footed briefly. She has a nice draw in stall six.

Ed Walker, trainer of Sunset Bay
She hated the soft ground at Ascot last time and will have another try at getting some black type. I think she's well capable of achieving it if things fall right and she should have an each-way chance.
