The leading female amateurs play their part on the big stage at Ascot today in the Longines Handicap, which follows the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The 7f handicap is part of the triple crown for female amateurs –along with the Ladies’ Derby at Epsom and Queen Mother’s Cup at York – and 19 runners and riders are due to line up for the ultra-competitive contest.
