Without the unbeaten Ballydoyle colt in the field Blue Point is hot favourite to follow up his emphatic victory in York's Gimcrack Stakes and land the season's top six-furlong prize for juvenile colts.

Today's race offers Blue Point a chance to avenge his only defeat so far, by Mehmas in Goodwood's Richmond Stakes, and Applebly expects his colt to prove a sterner opponent than he was in July when beaten a neck.
