Blue has point to make in Mehmas rematch
Charlie Appleby seeks his second victory in three years in the race in which the Godolphin trainer registered his first European Group 1 success, with Blue Point aiming to take advantage of the absence of Caravaggio today.
Without the unbeaten Ballydoyle colt in the field Blue Point is hot favourite to follow up his emphatic victory in York's Gimcrack Stakes and land the season's top six-furlong prize for juvenile colts.
Today's race offers Blue Point a chance to avenge his only defeat so far, by Mehmas in Goodwood's Richmond Stakes, and Applebly expects his colt to prove a sterner opponent than he was in July when beaten a neck.
