If anything can be relied upon at the moment, in about two months' time one of the main talking points ahead of the Sprint Cup at Haydock will concern the recent record of three-year-olds in the race.
The July Cup has been a little while in catching up, but with four three-year-old winners in the last five years it is surely there now. Sprinting used to be an older horse's game, but now it is given over to the three-year-olds and plenty would overwhelmingly put this down to one factor: the introduction of the Commonwealth Cup.
