Willie Mullins has lost 60 soldiers but he still has a powerful army to go to war with this winter and the unbeaten Airlie Beach, one of his most exciting mares, puts her unbeaten record on the line in the Pat Walsh Memorial EBF Mares Hurdle at Gowran Park on Friday, one of two Listed races on the card.

Airlie Beach has won all of her four starts by a combined total of more than 41 lengths and it was her latest victory over stable companion Retour En France at Galway that stamped her as a mare with a big future.

We will find out a little bit more about her today and Ruby Walsh, who deserted her at Ballybrit, does not make the same mistake again.
