Be sure to wrap up warm but keep the brolly at home for Newbury's carnival
It should be dry but it will undoubtedly be cold at Newbury, where racegoers on Friday are expected to encounter temperatures of no more than 5C.
After a Thursday that peaked at 4C, Newbury clerk of the course Richard Osgood was expecting light overnight drizzle.
However, with rainfall not expected to reach even 1mm, ground conditions seem set to remain largely unchanged at good to soft, soft in places on the chase course and soft, good to soft in places on the hurdles course.
Although an overnight frost into Friday has not been forecast, Osgood has covered the take-off and landing side of jumps as a precautionary measure.
He said: "We should get to a maximum of 5C on Friday and overnight it ought not drop to worse than 2C or 3C. Saturday might reach as high as 6C or 7C."
