Baileys out to show profit for Johnston's shrewd placement

Two of the last three winners of the Prix la Rochette, Karakontie and Full Mast, went on to land the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on their next start.

Mark Johnston will be hoping that today's race at Saint-Cloud can be a stepping stone to the Lagardere's fillies equivalent, the Prix Marcel Boussac, for Baileys Showgirl and he believes he may have found an easier trial than waiting for the Prix d’Aumale next week.

The daughter of Sepoy won a Chantilly Listed race in July before returning to France to finish third behind Cavale Doree and Asidious Alexander in the Prix du Calvados at Deauville just over a fortnight ago.
