All you need to start your day as the classy Paloma Blue makes his chasing debut
Henry de Bromhead has crafted a reputation over the years of excelling with chasers and the Grade 1-placed Paloma Blue is his latest exciting recruit in the 2m1f beginners' chase at Navan (2.00).
Last season Paloma Blue placed behind Samcro and Summerville Boy in Grade 1 novice hurdles and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he makes up into a contender for the Racing Post Arkle.
The Troytown Handicap Chase (2.30) is the feature race on the card and is a tremendously competitive affair as ever. Gordon Elliott is represented by an incredible 12 horses in his quest to win the prize for the fifth consecutive year.
The eye is also drawn to Exeter as the classy Lil Rockerfeller continues his education over fences in the 3m novice chase (2.20). Uttoxeter also races on Sunday.

Final thought
With Lalor and Kalashnikov currently disputing ante-post favouritism in the Arkle market, it will be fascinating to see if Paloma Blue can become the latest novice chaser to throw his hat in the ring for Cheltenham Festival glory in March.
