Anyone at the Showcase meeting last month will have a strong handle on this Listed race as two-thirds of the field locked horns there, with Thomas Campbell holding the bragging rights.

Last year's winner of this race, Anteros, fell at the last when toiling along with the other four reopposing.

Dell' Arca got closest in fourth and his trainer David Pipe is mindful this meeting is synonymous with Pond House success.

The stable has won this race eight times in the last 23 years and Pipe, who has sent out Goulanes (2012) and Katkeau (2014) under his own name after taking over the licence from his father Martin, was straight on the scoreboard at the meeting on Friday with What A Moment repeating his win of last year.

Pipe said: "Historically we've done well at this meeting but we have only five runners this year, although hopefully all have chances."

What they say

David Pipe, trainer of Dell' Arca
We're running him back a bit quickly after he went up 10lb for winning last time. We had to give 2lb to Thomas Campbell when beaten by him and have to give him 2lb again, so work that out. If the race doesn't come too quickly he should run well.

Nicky Henderson, trainer of Thomas Campbell
He got a pretty hefty hike for making a sound start to his season in winning the Pertemps qualifier, which will make life difficult, but he appreciated the step up to three miles.

Kim Bailey, trainer of Rocky's Treasure
He won his last two races nicely, is in good form and deserves to have a crack at a race like this.

Paul Nicholls, trainer of Connetable
He keeps running okay and he ran better than his finishing position suggests last time. He can be a bit moody though, so we're trying Bryony [Frost] on him.

Colin Tizzard, trainer of Solatentif
He’s a bit high in the handicap but he’ll win one of these at some stage.

Sophie Leech, trainer of Anteros
We've had this race in mind since he won it last year. It didn't go to plan last time when he fell, but he's come out of it well. He could do with a little bit of rain to help the cause.
