Redcar and Windsor host their first meetings of the year with runners aplenty as the turf campaign steadily gets underway.

Beyond Equal (4.20), trained by Stuart Kittow, won four of his seven starts when entering handicap company last season and remains open to improvement. The four-year-old returns to action in the 6f handicap at Windsor.

Jump racing fans are appeased with Kelso staging a seven-race card, where the Kim Bailey-trained Another Venture (3.40) bids to follow up victory at Plumpton last month.

Final thought

It may be a little early to raise but should Tiger Roll be as big as 8-1 to land a historic third National victory next year? After another somewhat straightforward success on Saturday, I anticipated him being around half the price at which he is available.
