'All about Cheltenham' - Envoi Allen team eye the festival ahead of Naas test
Chris Richardson says it is all about Cheltenham for Cheveley Park Stud's potential superstar Envoi Allen as the six-year-old prepares for his latest test in the Grade 1 Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle.
Faultless in six starts for Gordon Elliott since making his debut in December 2018, Envoi Allen has looked a natural in two starts over hurdles this season, the most recent of which came in the Grade 1 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse in December.
Yet the Festival remains the focal point for Cheveley Park supremos David and Patricia Thompson, who last season enjoyed two winners at Cheltenham thanks to Envoi Allen's Champion Bumper success and A Plus Tard's demolition job in the Close Brothers' Novices' Handicap Chase.
