Having reached one landmark in the quietest of settings this season, David Probert is keen to achieve another on a much bigger stage on Wednesday.

When he rode the 1,000th winner of his career on Tronada this month, it was not only behind closed doors but also on a Monday night in a Class 6 handicap at Lingfield, so the milestone moment could scarcely have been less high profile.
