A key race, runner, ace tipster selection and Lucky 15 for Tuesday's racing
Many sports have been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak but racing continues behind closed doors with four jumps meetings across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday. Here we pinpoint a key race and runner to note plus best bets and a Lucky 15 across the action.
Key race
The feature Racing TV Chase (4.10) at Down Royal has certainly attracted the classiest field of the day. Last year’s winner Jury Duty, trained by Gordon Elliott, returns but has been beaten a total of 101 lengths in two starts this year.
Stablemate Monbeg Notorious, successful in the Thyestes Chase in 2018, could be a danger, while second favourite Moonshine Bay has plenty in his favour and is less exposed than his rivals. Read our preview here.
Key runner
Two days on from scoring by 24 lengths at Market Rasen, Playa Blanca is back in action and bidding for a hat-trick in the 2m3f handicap hurdle (4.00) at Taunton. The Seamus Mullins-trained five-year-old carries a 7lb penalty with Ben Jones again claiming 3lb and his rivals include Tactical Manoeuvre, who is seeking a four-timer.
Ace tipster
Top tipster Paul Kealy, who enjoyed Cheltenham Festival winners including Imperial Aura, Dame De Compagnie and Concertista, provides his best bet of the day...
Has to defy 10lb rise but was improving before cheekpieces were added last time and likely has more to come.
Lucky 15
Our Spotlights team have pinpointed a Lucky 15 from the two jumps meetings at Wetherby and Taunton this afternoon.
Present From Dubai 3.45 Wetherby
The first-time hood could help him settle better today.
Commodore Barry 4.20 Wetherby
Not disgraced in warm Newbury handicap last time out.
Putdecashonthedash 4.35 Taunton
Solid option with the rest having questions to answer.
Ambion Hill 5.10 Taunton
The form of his Chepstow third has worked out well.
