Prendergast eyeing Irish Champions Weekend for bright prospect Madhmoon

Veteran trainer Kevin Prendergast has described his exciting juvenile Madmoon as the kind of horse that gets him out of bed in the morning.

And while Madhmoon's Irish Champions Weekend target has yet to be confirmed, the 85-year-old Curragh handler is quietly confident that this smart Hamdan Al Maktoum colt is capable of returning the Friarstown stable to the big time.

Prendergast has had some high-class animals through his hands, but as debut performances go, they don’t get much more impressive than the one Madhmoon produced to take a mile maiden at Leopardstown last month, winning in the style of a potential star.
