Prendergast ace Madhmoon on the mend as trainer gets set for racecourse return

Legendary trainer Kevin Prendergast will be able to return to a racecourse from Wednesday onwards, but his 2019 Investec Derby runner-up Madhmoon may have to wait a little longer, with the high-class colt on the mend after a setback.

Prendergast, who turns 88 this Sunday, welcomed the easing of restrictions which mean those aged over 70 can attend Irish race meetings from Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the next two weeks are set to determine where his stable star lines up next.
