Post man Mottershead lines up in annual battle of the headsets

The Racing Post's own Lee Mottershead was on Friday mugging up on Newmarket landmarks such as 'the Bushes' and 'the Dip' as he features among a six-strong field of guest callers for the annual commentary competition on the Rowley Mile on Saturday.

As well as the Post's man, the fourth staging of the charity event features last year's winner Richard Spencer, fellow trainers Ed Vaughan and Charlie Fellowes, as well as serial fundraiser Richard Farquhar and At The Races presenter Hayley Moore.

Moore will be out to better her brother Ryan, who double-teamed with Sir Michael Stoute to call a race a few years ago.
