Racing fans seem set for another glimpse of jumping's most popular horse after trainer Colin Tizzard indicated Cue Card would run again this season.

The prolific Grade 1 winner, who burst on to the scene by landing the Champion Bumper in 2010 before going on to claim a Ryanair, King George VI Chase and three Betfair Chases, appears on his farewell tour after a stellar career, but Tizzard on Sunday left the door ajar for another outing.

Cue Card race record

Owned by Jean Bishop, 12-year-old Cue Card was pulled up in this month's Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, which left connections mulling his future.

However, speaking at Ascot, where Bishop's Theatre Guide was a faller in the veterans' chase, Tizzard said: "The horse is absolutely fine and he's not retired. All I'll say is that we said we were going to run him until the end of the season and nothing has changed."

Asked if he had Aintree or Sandown in mind, the trainer added: "We've no preference that I can tell you about at the moment."
