Fairyhouse racecourse has issued tender documents on the Government eTenders website for the next phase of redevelopment at the County Meath track.

The works include a new medical centre, redevelopment of existing turnstile buildings and a new shower/toilet block in the stable yard.

The new medical building will contain two examination rooms, a physiotherapy room, toilets and a kitchen. It will be used by the Turf Club and racecourse medical teams for jockeys and the general public.

The current turnstiles will be removed and an inviting welcoming centre will be created in conjunction with associated offices within the current building framework. This will feature glass panels and doors, and associated works.

Peter Roe, manager of Fairyhouse, said: "These are exciting times for Fairyhouse and the latest developments, partly funded under the Horse Racing Ireland Racecourse Capital Development Fund, will help improve the customer experience for everyone who attends the racecourse."
