Use your William Hill free bets on the World Darts Championship quarter-finals
Dimitri Van den Bergh v Jonny Clayton
Both Dimitri Van den Bergh and Jonny Clayton have shown flashes of brilliance in reaching this stage, notably their finishing ability. Each player boasted checkout percentages of 40 or higher in the previous round, with the Welshman hitting a superb 53.33% on his doubles. Back both players to land a 120+ checkout at 11-10 under the checkouts tab.
Gerwyn Price v Gabriel Clemens
World number one Gerwyn Price has dazzled the Ally Pally crowd with three clear-cut victories, including a comfortable 4-1 success versus the dangerous Jose de Sousa. The Iceman threw eight 180s in that winning performance and looks to have more gears than his opponent, who is yet to beat Price in three attempts. Back Gerwyn price to cover the -2.5 set handicap at 8-11.
Michael Smith v Stephen Bunting
This could be the most exciting quarter-final, with a pair of strong scorers at the oche. With ten and seven 180s thrown in their previous rounds, the pair can go over the total 180s line of 21.5 at 10-11, given the longer format of best of nine sets at this juncture of the tournament.
Michael van Gerwen v Chris Dobey
Chris Dobey secured a sensational victory against former champion Rob Cross, averaging 101.82, hitting eight 180s and throwing a 170 checkout. The Geordie is throwing at the peak of his powers, but faces the most recognisable arrowsmith this century. 'Mighty' Michael van Gerwen survived a small scare against Mensur Suljovic prior to dispatching compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode 4-1. Dobey ended a rotten run of defeats against MVG, with a 6-5 win at the European Championship in October, and could win a couple of sets at least. Back Dobey + 2.5 on the handicap at odds against (13-10).
