Paul d’Arcy faces disciplinary panel after horse returns positive test
Paul D'Arcy: trainer of Nampara
Trainer Paul D’Arcy faces a disciplinary panel hearing at the BHA on Tuesday after a horse in his care tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid after running at Newmarket last year.
Nampara returned a positive test for boldenone sulphate after winning a 6f handicap in August 2018, with the disciplinary panel to decide if D'Arcy is in breach of rule (G) 2.1 as a result.
The panel will also decide whether Nampara, a four-year-old filly owned and bred by Ken Snell, should be disqualified after returning the positive sample.
