Pat Smullen misses Dundalk rides on Friday evening after gallstone agony
Former champion jockey Pat Smullen is expected to be back for the start of the turf Flat season at Naas on Sunday despite being treated for a gallstone issue on Thursday.
Smullen was forced to give up his three intended rides at Dundalk on Friday evening due to the problem, which had arisen the previous day.
His agent Kevin O'Ryan said on Friday evening: "It came on all of a sudden on Thursday and he was in absolute agony with it, but they managed to flush it out and whatever they did seemed to work.
"He was certainly a different man when I spoke to him today and he told me he was definitely riding on Sunday."
