The prospect of owners being allowed on to racecourses in England after Thursday's lockdown comes into effect remained uncertain on Monday, with racing's leaders still seeking clarity from government on the matter.

Since June 1, racing has taken place in Britain behind closed doors, with owners able to attend courses in limited numbers since July 4.

BHA chief executive Nick Rust said on Sunday he would "fight hard" for the status quo to remain for owners during lockdown, but discussions are ongoing.
