'Our guy will need to bring his A-game' - Energumene camp wary of Edwardstone

Just three remain in contention for Saturday's LK Bennett Clarence House Chase (3.35) but the big two of Energumene and Edwardstone are among that trio and Willie Mullins thinks his star will need to bring his A-game to Ascot to avoid being beaten in the race again.

Last season's contest produced one of the great races of the modern era as Shishkin wore down Energumene in the dying strides after a pulsating battle up the home straight, but Tony Bloom's chaser went on to end Mullins' Champion Chase hoodoo at Cheltenham later in the campaign.

This time around it is Arkle and Tingle Creek winner Edwardstone standing in Energumene's way and Mullins has deep respect for the new kid on the block in the two mile chasing division.
