The first leg of the £1 million cashing triple crown features a rematch between the first two home in the Gold Cup and, given Native River (RPR 178) has been kept away from right-handed tracks since jumping to his left at Kempton on Boxing Day 2015, market leader Might Bite (174), looks the more likely of the pair to win the bonus.

But he is by now means certain to reverse Gold Cup finishing positions with Native River at Haydock. Despite seeming to have been around for a lot longer, Colin Tizzard's eight-year-old is the younger of the two and may still be open to improvement. He probably won't prove as effective at Kempton, but he is fancied to confirm festival form with Might Bite on this occasion.

However, pick of the figures, based on his wide-margin win in this race last year is Bristol De Mai (182).
