One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday
Trainer
Paul Nicholls has enjoyed another brilliant year and he will collect his 11th trainers' title following memorable victories in the King George, Ryanair and RSA Chases this season.
The Ditcheat trainer, who had to settle for second behind Nicky Henderson in the last two championships, has enjoyed a resurgence with top-class operators, including Politologue and Clan Des Obeaux, and it is clear he is as hungry as ever for success.
He has plenty of opportunities on the final day of the jumps season too, with Black Corton and San Benedeto among his strong team.
Jockey
Bryony Frost, one of racing's most popular figures, makes a return to action following an injury that kept her out of the Grand National meeting at Aintree.
Reunited with her beloved Black Corton, who has finished second on his last four completed starts, the pair would be hugely popular winners of the bet365 Oaksey Chase and seal a brilliant day for trainer Paul Nicholls.
The Ryanair Chase-winning rider will also be aboard Present Man in the bet365 Gold Cup, another Nicholls-trainer runner she knows well. The pair won the Badger Ales Trophy at Wincanton last November and the nine-year-old makes his first start since wind surgery.
Horse
Kim Bailey's stable star Charbel returns to calmer waters after being beaten by Cyrname in the Ascot Chase in February and then pulling up in the Ryanair at Cheltenham.
The eight-year-old, who landed a first Graded success when running out an emphatic winner of the Peterborough Chase in December, had shown excellent early season form when beating subsequent BetVictor Gold Cup hero Baron Alco at Chepstow and then running Politologue close at Ascot.
A return to Grade 2 company in the bet365 Oaksey Chase may be just what Julie and David Martin's talented performer needs and he heads to Esher with a clear chance.
Race
The bet365 Select Hurdle promises to be a treat for jumps fans and the presence of Grade 1 novice hurdle winner Black Op and dual Grade 2 scorer On The Blind Side means it should be a competitive contest.
There will be plenty of eyes on Black Op, who has disappointed this term after enjoying a good novice season. There were reasons for a below-par effort in the Stayers' Hurdle last time, but a step down in grade and trip may see the eight-year-old to much better effect.
On The Blind Side is another with something to prove after pulling up in the RSA Chase. Despite a straightforward success at Kempton, the seven-year-old has not looked totally comfortable over fences but, based on his Grade 2 novice hurdle-winning form, he has a shout here.
