One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday
Trainer
Kim Bailey could be set for a momentous Saturday with stable flagbearer Imperial Aura set to test his Ryanair credentials in the Grade 2 Ladbrokes Silviniaco Conti Chase (2.55).
The eight-year-old is two from two this season, which has been tailored around a return to the Cheltenham Festival after plundering the now-defunct novice handicap chase in 2020. He is the current 7-1 second favourite for the Ryanair but that could change if he extends his winning sequence.
Bailey also has a leading chance with Younevercall, who is primed to take on McFabulous in the rescheduled Relkeel Hurdle (2.20) at Kempton.
Two For Gold has two entries with Kempton (1.45), preferred over Wincanton. Lanzarote hope Shinobi also features among Bailey's plethora of runners.
Jockey
Harry Skelton was in red-hot form over the festive period and has a number of interesting chances on the card at Wincanton, especially in the feature Paddy Power Dipper Novices' Chase (2.05) with Protektorat.
The six-year-old looks a cut above his two rivals on the form of his chasing successes this term and is another who could boost his festival claims. He is currently a 16-1 chance for the Marsh Novices' Chase.
Skelton also has big chances with Flash Collonges (11.52), Leylak (12.25), Take Your Time (1.30) and Glajou (3.45), while Glen Forsa is an interesting outsider in the 2m4f handicap chase (2.35).
Horse
Gary Moore looks to have another top juvenile in his stable in the form of Nassalam, who has won by a combined distance of 108 lengths in two starts at Fontwell.
He now faces a huge step up in class to Grade 1 level to compete in the Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle (1.25) at Chepstow.
On ratings, he is the one to beat and it will be interesting to see how he compares against the similarly unexposed Adagio, Houx Gris and Elham Valley.
Race
Only two of the last ten favourites have won the Coral Welsh Grand National and once again it looks a highly intriguing contest from a punting perspective (3.10).
Is racing on or off? Weather prospects and inspections for the upcoming meetings
The progressive Secret Reprieve makes plenty of appeal near the bottom of the weights, having won the registered trial for the race last time. Meanwhile Springfield Fox, Christmas In April and last year's runner-up, Truckers Lodge, should relish this unique test.
