One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday

One trainer

Kevin Ryan had saddled seven winners from 31 runners (a strike-rate of 23 per cent) before racing on Friday, and has a leading chance in the bet365 Continental Two Year Old Trophy (3.10) at Beverley.

The trainer sends out the aptly named Ryan's Party, who finished second at Hamilton on his debut. That race was won by Tipperary Sunset, who is less prominent in the market for trainer John Quinn.

Ryan relies on Lady Ayresome in the other big two-year-old race on the card, the Hilary Needler Trophy Fillies' Conditions Stakes (2.00), won last year by Temple Stakes winner Liberty Beach.

One jockey

Tom Marquand has a solid book of rides at Haydock, including Capote's Dream for Tom Ward in the Betway Handicap (1.45) and Elvrika, favourite for Betway Casino Handicap (4.40).

The jockey partners a relative outsider in the Listed Achilles Stakes but will fancy his chances on the William Haggas-trained With Thanks in the Group 3 Betway John of Gaunt Stakes (3.30).

One horse

Safe Voyage loves Haydock. The eight-year-old has won four times from five starts there and lost his unbeaten record when beaten only a neck by Group 1 winner Space Blues in last June's Spring Cup.

His trainer John Quinn landed the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock last week and has another leading chance with Safe Voyage, who on Friday was the general 3-1 favourite for the John of Gaunt Stakes.

The son of Fast Company won the last running of the Group 3 in 2019 and attempts to bounce back from a disappointing performance in the Lockinge Stakes last time, when he finished down the field.

One race

Manuela De Vega won the Betway Pinnacle Stakes (2.55) for Ralph Beckett last year before landing the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks, and the race has attracted a competitive field of fillies and mares.

The market will likely be headed by Cabaletta, who was last seen finishing third in the Middleton Fillies' Stakes at York this month.

Among her rivals is Oriental Mystique, who was withdrawn from the Brigadier Gerard Stakes due to unsuitable ground on Thursday, and La Lune, winner of the Nottinghamshire Oaks.
