The sounds of shouting and hollering and LED lights flickering on the boards were welcomed back to British racecourses as four on-course bookmakers returned to action at Ludlow on Wednesday afternoon.

Punters were rewarded with three winning outright favourites as well as a co-favourite as bookies reported steady business – with one or two lumpy bets.

Martyn Classic Racing reported a small profit on the day and went home happy with levels of business on the card.
