One horse, trainer and jockey to follow at Friday's all-weather meetings

There is no turf action on Friday but there are three all-weather meetings to keep us occupied during the cold period. Here is one horse, trainer and jockey to follow from all three venues. . .

Southwell

Horse: Winning three of his last four visits to Southwell, So Grateful (2.35) was beaten just a length off 1lb lower at Wolverhampton last month. The form of his most recent Southwell win has worked out well and he is an obvious player.

Trainer: Roy Bowring is enjoying a great year at Southwell, winning with ten of his 29 runners for a level-stakes profit of £45.42. He has three chances on Friday including Back From Dubai (5.25), who was beaten a neck over a mile at Southwell two starts ago.

Jockey: Kevin Stott has established a clear lead in the All-Weather Jockeys Championship and the pick of his six rides at the track on Friday looks to be Blazeon Five (3.45) who bids for a hat-trick after two wins at Kempton. Stott also has a good chance on Lordsbridge Girl in the 3.10.

Dundalk

Horse: A four-time course-and-distance winner, Linus Larrabee (5.30) has gained two of those successes in his last three starts. He was denied a hat-trick by a neck last month, when a slow start was his undoing, and he will remain competitive off 2lb higher.

Trainer: If you want success at Dundalk, Eddie Lynam is the man to follow. He has a 21 per cent strike-rate this year from 68 runners and as well as running Linus Larrabee, he also saddles Celtic Revival (8.00), a 13-race maiden who has been running better than the bare results in recent starts.

Jockey: Dylan Browne McMonagle's 15 per cent strike-rate at Dundalk this year equates to a level-stakes profit of £37.15 and he gets the ride on Dreal Deal (5.00), who caught the eye when third over 1m4f last month. Stepped up in trip, he could be a formidable force off a 3lb higher rating.

Kempton

Horse: Kempton has been a happy hunting ground for Aramis Grey(7.45), who has posted form figures of 1212 at the venue. He was narrowly denied a hat-trick when beaten a head over course and distance last month and a 2lb rise is unlikely to stop him going close again.

Trainer: Perhaps unsurprisingly, Charlie Appleby has an excellent strike-rate at Kempton, winning with 35 per cent of his runners in the last five years. He has two runners in the fillies' maiden (6.45) but his best chance could be Noble Order (7.15), an unexposed and well-bred three-year-old who shaped well over course and distance last month, his first start for 293 days.

Jockey: Billy Loughnane is a jockey on the up and has already impressed plenty of people with his riding this winter. He has a pair of rides on the card including Haku (5.15), who bids to follow up a very comfortable course-and-distance victory. With Loughnane's claim in mind, Haku is effectively 2lb lower than last time.
