Michael O’Leary says his first foray into the market for jump racing’s future stars for over two years was born of a desire to help Gordon Elliott through “the horrors” of his six-month suspension.

However, the Ryanair supremo insists the acquisition of “two or three” choice point-to-pointers does not represent a wholesale change to his plans to wind down his Gigginstown House Stud ownership vehicle.

Gigginstown’s ubiquitous maroon and white silks appear alongside the Westerner four-year-old Cool Survivor in Friday’s Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council INH Flat Race at Down Royal.
