Gigginstown racing manager Eddie O'Leary is optimistic Delta Work will be a different proposition in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown this Christmas compared with his return effort at Down Royal.

Safely held in each of his last three seasonal debuts in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase, the talented eight-year-old has typically tended to need his comeback run each year, but finished closer than before in the race this October.

Only five and three-quarter lengths separated the five-time Grade 1 winner and Frodon on what was his first outing since picking up a small leg fracture in the Irish Gold Cup last February.
