Michael O'Callaghan will not be replacing Kieren Fallon and will instead use the best rider available for the remainder of the season.

Fallon was a shock appointment as O'Callaghan's stable jockey at the beginning of the year but the 27-year-old trainer has confirmed that he won't be seeking a replacement for the recently-retired rider.

O'Callaghan said: “I won't be looking for a stable jockey to replace Kieren and I will just continue to use the best that is available to me. Pat Smullen and Colin Keane have both ridden winners for me lately. They are first and second in the jockeys' championship so I would be keen to use both of those whenever they are available.
