Nunthorpe 'ripe for the taking' says Tate as he talks up favourite Royal Aclaim
Nunthorpe favourite Royal Aclaim will miss Glorious Goodwood as connections focus on Group 1 glory in a race they feel is "ripe for the taking".
Such was the impression their "special" filly created when a two-length winner of the Listed City Walls Stakes on only her third start, she is no bigger than 3-1 to land the Coolmore-sponsored five-furlong highlight on the Friday of the Ebor meeting.
"We'll go straight to York," said trainer James Tate, who enjoyed the highest-profile win of his career when Invincible Army won the Group 2 Duke of York Stakes at the Knavesmire in 2019.
