Franny Norton will not resume his pursuit of a personal-best score for at least another month following his fall at Chester just over a fortnight ago.

Norton suffered a broken collarbone and three cracked ribs when Thomas Cranmer fell on September 9 and the expected recovery time is six to eight weeks.

"I've had two weeks off now and doing quite well; I’ve got a lot more movement," said Norton, who had racked up 74 winners before the fall. His best total is 83, recorded only last year.
