Nolan hit with 23-day whip ban under totting-up procedure

Jockey David Nolan was on Thursday banned for 23 days by a BHA-appointed disciplinary panel for whip offences.

Nolan, who rides for Richard Fahey and David O'Meara, was referred to the BHA's London HQ after local stewards ruled he was in breach at Beverley in August, which was his fifth offence warranting a suspension of between two and six days in the last six months.

The rider's ban will be served when there is Flat racing from September 16 to October 3, while seven days of the punishment have been deferred until December 3.
