Nick Rust and Simon Bazalgette among industry figures launching new consultancy
Nick Rust and Simon Bazalgette, respective former chief executives of the BHA and Jockey Club, are among a number of well-known British racing industry figures who have joined forces to launch a new specialist consultancy.
The team behind GVS EQ said it had brought together expertise in areas including governance, media rights, gaming operations, sports administration, breeding, racecourse development, veterinary and medical matters for the global equestrian and gaming sector.
Other founding partners in the venture include former Newbury joint chief executive Sarah Hordern, Will Lambe, who was a director at the BHA between 2003 and 2021, former Shadwell stud director Richard Lancaster, and David Sykes, the BHA's director of equine health and welfare between 2017 and 2021.
