Newmarket gearing up to show off stars at annual two-day event
Fifteen stables are to open their doors as part of the 32Red-sponsored Newmarket Open Weekend this Sunday, the fifth staging of the two-day charity event since it was resurrected in 2012.
Although there were concerns that a virus will keep some yards closed, it will be business as usual at the stables of leading trainers David Simcock, Luca Cumani, Ed Dunlop, James Fanshawe and Michael Bell.
At Bell's, two-time Goodwood Cup winner Big Orange will be a big draw, while recent Group 1 winner Speedy Boarding is sure to attract plenty of attention at Fanshawe's Pegasus Stables, along with Sprint Cup runner-up The Tin Man.
