Newmarket Cambridgeshire Festival: ITV Racing Tips
Racing Post expert Tom Park picks out his best Newmarket tips for an action-packed Friday in a bid to help you find more winners.
Andrew Balding's new recruit made an eyecatching debut for the stable when staying on late to finish third behind Foxtrot Lady in a 7f Group 3 at Doncaster. She took a while to get into top gear at Doncaster and should find the step back up to a mile in her favour. She should go on any ground but she won't mind any rain that falls with the forecast uncertain.
Like a lot of Sir Michael Stoute's three-year-olds, Katara has taken a while to come to the boil, but after breaking her maiden in novice company at Kempton in July the daughter of Deep Impact took her form to another level when making light work of her rivals in a Listed race over the July course in August. She is clearly improving at a rapid rate of knots and is fancied to take this step up in trip.

Race 1 – 1.50 Newmarket
Preference is for Cloak Of Spirits, who has run very well in her only two runs here, latterly when second in the 1,000 Guineas and the return to a mile is a plus for her too.
Race 2 – 2.00 Uttoxeter
This might not take a lot of winning and Drumreagh is given another chance.
Race 3 – 2.25 Newmarket
A much-improved performance last time out when second in the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks makes Alpinista the one to beat.
Race 4 – 2.35 Uttoxeter
Perhaps the answer might be Henrietta Bell, who made an encouraging start to her chasing career this summer and remains well handicapped on some of her best hurdling form.
Race 5 – 3.00 Newmarket
Preference is for Aidan O'Brien's well-bred Monday, who improved a lot on her debut form when winning a Listed race at Leopardstown.
Race 6 – 3.10 Uttoxeter
The progressive Tea Clipper can return to action with a win after 232 days off the track.
Race 7 – 3.35 Newmarket
The one to beat them all may be Regal Reality, who looked back to his best two starts back and had excuses last time.
