Newbury and Kelso the highlights in build-up to the Cheltenham Festival

Monday

Ayr, Plumpton and Uttoxeter are the three jumps fixtures of the day and Brandon Hill, who runs in the Class 3 Handicap Hurdle at Plumpton (3.30), will attempt to book his ticket to Cheltenham.

For Flat fans Wolverhampton provides a six-race card with the opening race starting at 4.25.

Tuesday

The jumps fare continues on Tuesday, with Leicester, Ffos Las and Catterick all hosting meetings. With two weeks to go until Cheltenham, our Big Roar countdown continues with Lee Mottershead on Richard Johnson's festival highlights.

Once again, Wolverhampton provides the all-weather card of the evening with a six-race card.

Wednesday

Wincanton plays host to a competitive-looking seven-race card and is joined by Musselburgh as the two jumps meetings of the afternoon.

Southwell is the afternoon's Flat fixture, beginning at 2.30, while Kempton takes over for the evening with the London Mile Series Qualifier 32Red Handicap (7.00) providing the highlight.

Thursday

Clonmel holds a seven-race card over in Ireland while in Britain, Ludlow, Taunton and Musselburgh provide jumps fans with more action in the build-up to Cheltenham.

Newcastle and Kempton host all-weather cards in the evening, with the former starting at 4.05.

Friday

Newbury and Doncaster host the two jumps fixtures of the day, while Lingfield in the afternoon and Newcastle in the evening provide Flat fans with some cheer ahead of the season proper.

Saturday

Kelso enjoys its day in the sun with the Grade 2 Premier Kelso Novices' Hurdle and the Listed Premier Chase taking centre stage. The former's roll of honour includes the likes of 2018 Grand Annual Chase winner Le Prezien and Big Buck's conqueror Knockara Beau.

Newbury hosts an interesting card with the Grade 3 Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase the standout race. Doncaster also provides quality racing with the Grimpthorpe Chase and a Listed Mares' Novices' Hurdle on its seven-race card.

Elsewhere, Lingfield provides Flat action in the afternoon while Chelmsford takes over for the evening.

Sunday

Leopardstown is one of three jumps meetings on Sunday with Huntingdon and Sedgefield also in action. The Grade B Carrickmines Handicap Chase over two and a half miles is the highlight for the Irish card.
