The temperatures were a reasonable 13C at 5am when John and Thady Gosden pulled out to use the Al Bahathri Polytrack for their A-team which included Emily Upjohn.

The late Irish Oaks absentee went so well in her workout under Frankie Dettori that she almost overtook Lancashire Oaks winner Free Wind, who was enjoying a solo exercise in front of her. The Oaks runner-up could not be in better shape for a first battle with her elders in the King George next weekend.
