National backer Randox to support Cheltenham races

Grand National sponsor Randox Health has expanded its racing portfolio to include Cheltenham after backing a pair of £50,000 handicap chases at the track next month.

The healthcare diagnostics company’s sponsorship will make the two races on October 22 the richest contests staged at Cheltenham’s two-day Showcase meeting, which starts the previous day and kicks off the season at Prestbury Park.

In March this year Randox Health agreed a five-year deal to become the title sponsor of the Grand National from 2017 and the company was also unveiled as the official healthcare partner of the Jockey Club.
