Luke Morris hopes his Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe-winning ride aboard wondermare Alpinista is enough to change perceptions of him within the sport and open up opportunities in the top races.

The 33-year-old has been around long enough not to get carried away, but the early indications are promising, with leading jumps trainer David Pipe snapping up Morris's services for major Club Godolphin Cesarewitch gamble Adagio.

In producing a beautifully patient ride in Europe's richest race, Morris showcased to the racing world his strength in the saddle is not his only asset and is matched by an astute tactical brain.
