Middle Park winner Perfect Power heads field of six for the Greenham Stakes
Last year's Middle Park winner Perfect Power will face five rivals in the Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes (3.00) as he makes his seasonal debut at Newbury on Saturday.
The three-year-old claimed two Group 1 successes last year under Christophe Soumillon, who will partner the colt again in preparation for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas for which he is priced as short as 16-1.
Neither trainer Richard Fahey or Soumillon have won the Greenham but will be hopeful of claiming success with Perfect Power, who won his only start on the Rowley Mile in September's Middle Park Stakes.

He faces stiff competition from three other Classic hopefuls, with the principal challenge coming from the Ralph Beckett-trained Angel Bleu, who followed up his Group 2 Vintage Stakes win with a pair of international Group 1 victories.
Frankie Dettori, who has partnered the colt in his last four starts, will again take the ride, with the Richard Hannon-trained Group 2 winner Lusail the only other runner proven at the distance.
Hannon has taken two of the last four runnings of this Guineas trial, including last year with Chindit, who finished fifth in the Newmarket Classic on his next start.
Hannon also runs Gubbass, last year's Super Sprint winner, with the Hugo Palmer-trained Flaming Rib and Stan Moore-trained The Wizard Of Eye making up the remainder of the field.
In the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes (2.25), registered as the Fred Darling Stakes, there are 13 entrants headed by Grade 1 Natalma Stakes winner Wild Beauty, who was fifth behind Qipco 1,000 Guineas favourite Inspiral in the Group 1 bet365 Fillies' Mile on her last start.
The Godolphin-owned filly will look to bolster her owners' already packed Classic line-up and continue what has been a fine week for jockey William Buick following Wednesday's Craven victory aboard Native Trail.
The Harry and Roger Charlton-trained Jumbly, a comfortable Listed scorer on her last start, may provide the fiercest competition after finishing just under two lengths behind Tuesday's impressive Nell Gwyn winner Cachet in the Rockfel Stakes last year.
There is also two divisions of a competitive maiden stakes (4.10) and (4.45) on the card – won by Andrew Balding (3) and Richard Hannon (2) in the last five years – which in recent times has produced top-class performers that include last year's division one winner Snow Lantern, who went on to take the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes.
Balding has won this maiden with a newcomer before and bids for a repeat with Zabeir in division two, whilst Hannon has five entries across both contests.
However, the Marcus Tregoning-trained Nawras is also an intriguing prospect in division one, with the Shadwell-owned newcomer brought 625,000gns at the sales, the highest price in the field.
