Sir Anthony McCoy will be at the British Racing School in Newmarket on Wednesday morning for the unveiling of Jockey Matters, a series of films aimed at helping apprentices and conditional riders.

The launch, which is to take place at a BHA jockeys' seminar at the school, will focus on various aspects of rider welfare – with contributions from jockeys who have dealt with a range of issues in their careers – and highlight the support network now available to apprentices and conditionals.

The first film to be shown is all about nutrition, with three sections examining how diet and exercise fits into the daily routine of jockeys such as Leighton Aspell, Jim Crowley and Ryan Moore. It examines various weight-loss techniques and how to optimise performance.
