Marco Botti has expressed his frustration at the length of time it is taking to hear an appeal against the result of last month's St Leger at Doncaster.

The BHA has confirmed an appeal by the connections of Haskoy against the decision of the Doncaster stewards to demote their filly from second to fourth, having caused interference with the Botti-trained Giavellotto two furlongs from home, will be heard on October 28 – 47 days after the final Classic of the season in Britain was run.

As a result of Haskoy's demotion, Giavellotto was promoted to third from fourth and New London from third to second.
