Huge queues for food, drink, toilets and to place a bet, along with the significant rise in the cost of entry, will be among the criticisms organisers of the first Arc at the reopened Longchamp will be facing this week as they digest feedback from disgruntled racegoers.

After voicing bitter complaints about the customer experience on Sunday, British and Irish visitors continued to express immense dissatisfaction on Monday, with many vowing never to return for Arc day.

Longchamp's €141 million grandstand faced its first big test on Sunday and the majority of racegoers' opinion is that it failed miserably.
