Ireland sprint star Logo Hunter set to be sold for 'life-changing' monster sum
Ireland's new sprint star Logo Hunter looks destined to continue his career in a different jurisdiction with his trainer Michael Browne revealing a "life-changing" sum of money is on the table from a number of different agents for the impressive winner of the Sole Power Sprint Stakes at Naas on Sunday.
The Ger Lyons cast-off was picked up by Browne’s neighbour and well-known breeze-up consignor Cristiano Martins for just 5,000gns at the Newmarket horses-in-training sales last autumn and is understood to be changing hands for a sum in the region of a couple of hundred times that.
Logo Hunter, labelled the best sprinter in Ireland by Seamie Heffernan before Sunday’s big win, could have been bought for a pittance in comparison after he finished second in a Listed race at Navan last month, only for some agents to baulk because he has undergone breathing surgery.
