'Life-changing' eye op has Henderson fully focused on Constitution Hill task

A revitalised Nicky Henderson on Sunday insisted he remained as hungry as ever and hopes a recent eye operation can give him a crystal clear view of Constitution Hill romping to glory in the Unibet Champion Hurdle.

Henderson outlined his aspirations and plans for the forthcoming months when he entertained around 250 friends and supporters at his annual owners' day, which was postponed by a week following the death of the Queen, who had the majority of her jumpers at Seven Barrows.

The trainer, who floated the possibility of the wider sporting world seeing his new stable star at Ascot on November 19, spoke candidly about his sight, which he feared could bring an end to jump racing's most captivating career but has now improved after treatment over the summer.
