Order Of St George on course for Chantilly as odds tumble
Defeat at odds of 1-7 might seem an unlikely springboard to success in Europe's most prestigious Flat race, but Order Of St George looks increasingly likely to tackle the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, for which one bookmaker on Wednesday halved his price.
In one of the biggest shocks of recent years the Aidan O'Brien-trained Gold Cup winner failed to justify long odds-on favouritism in Sunday's Irish St Leger, in which he proved unable to reel in hurdler Wicklow Brave.
However, the star Ballydoyle stayer's connections are nevertheless believed to favour a drop in trip and hike in class by sending him into Arc battle alongside Irish Champion Stakes second Found. No decision has been made on where that contest's third, Minding, will reappear.
